(QNO) - The opening ceremony of the Duy Xuyen Start-up Festival 2023 was held at the Centre for Culture, Sports, and Broadcasting of Duy Xuyen district (Quang Nam province) on September 22.
The festival under the theme ‘Silk Homeland: Initialization and Sharing with the Community’ takes place from the 22nd to the 24th of September.
It is aimed at promoting and recovering the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the festival, a variety of projects, innovative start-up products, OCOP products, and typical local rural industrial products are displayed and presented.
It is expected that the festival will promote socio-economic development by facilitating the diversity of products for tourism development, creating motivation and spreading the spirit of creative entrepreneurship in the district.
Currently, Duy Xuyen has 17 provincial OCOP products. 4 of them are recognised as 4-star products, and 13 others are 3-star ones.
Duy Xuyen is planning to develop about 25 provincial OCOP products, including at least 5 4-star ones. At the same time, there will be at least 2 places for OCOP displays and an OCOP centre.
Reportedly, the Duy Xuyen Innovative Start-up Association has come into operation with 70 members, promoting the development of the local start-up movement and contributing to local socio-economic growth.
The festival is now really significant. It helps manufacturers connect, advertise, and enlarge the market for their products. At the same time, the festival is a good chance for businesses to collect ideas for bettering their products.
The festival has 60 booths from 81 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in Quang Nam displaying OCOP and start-up products, crafts, and specialties.
Besides, there are some spaces for digital transformation solutions, such as electronic payment, credit, logistics, and job connection.
The festival also provides the young with a chance for exchange and cooperation for a sustainable future.
In addition, Duy Xuyen leaders support businesses in trade promotion and connection, especially on digital platforms, showing images of local potential and advantages for investment attraction.
