(QNO) - On the occasion of a working visit to the provinces of Southern Laos, a group of Quang Nam officials, led by Provincial Party Committee Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, visited the South Laos Friendship Company in Paksong district, Champasak province, on the morning of April 4.
At the meeting, Deputy Director of the South Laos Friendship Company Vu Van Nguyen shared that the company was built in Laos in 2006.
The company currently has 10 facilities in four southern provinces of Laos, specializing in the production of construction bricks, rubber, coffee, bamboo shoots, accommodation services, medical examination and treatment, etc., thereby creating jobs for about 200 Lao workers.
Notably, the company undertakes the development of two village clusters in Champasak province, especially with support for cow raising and farming models for local residents.
In addition, the program of raising and helping children in these village clusters to go to school has also been implemented for the past years.
Secretary Triet, on behalf of the Quang Nam delegation, congratulated the company's achievements, especially in the fields of production and trading, as well as its reputation and position in Laos.
He also wished the company to continue supporting the southern provinces of Laos, accompanying Quang Nam to well perform international tasks, and contributing to the good friendship between Vietnam - Laos, and Quang Nam with the provinces of Sekong and Champasak.
