(QNO) - On November 21, Mr. Le Phu Lai - Deputy Director of the Quang Nam provincial Sports Training and Competition Center announced that athlete Huynh Do Dat excellently won the gold medal at the 2023 World Wushu Championship.
In particular, at the World Wushu Championship held in the United States, Huynh Do Dat performed exceptionally well and won the final to become the champion in the 70kg sanda category.
Huynh Do Dat, born in 2005, is currently an athlete under the roster of the Quang Nam provincial Sports Training and Competition Center. In the 2022 National Sports Competition, he won the silver medal and was subsequently selected for the Vietnam national team.
The 2023 World Wushu Championship took place in the United States from November 13 to 21. The competition attracted teams from 54 countries, including Vietnamese delegation with 13 athletes.
