Quang Nam has two more national intangible cultural heritages

(QNO) - Two traditional handicrafts in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province) have just been recognized as national intangible cultural heritages by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam.

Accordingly, two more Vietnam national intangible cultural heritages of Hoi An city include making bamboo and coconut houses in Cam Thanh, and weaving hammocks from Firmiana simplex bark in the Cham Islands.

Until now, 6 out of more than 50 traditional handicrafts in Hoi An city have been recognised as national intangible cultural heritages, including Thanh Chau bird nest exploitation, Thanh Ha pottery making, Kim Bong carpentry, Tra Que vegetable growing, and the two traditional crafts mentioned above.
