The CEO will have a busy schedule during his stay, including meetings with a number of Vietnamese content creators and programmers.

His visit is not only a sign of business expansion in Vietnam but also of Apple’s long-term commitment to this potential market.

Meeting with students, programmers, and customers not only helps Apple better understand market needs, but also demonstrates the tech giant’s interest in supporting and developing local talents.

Last May, Apple inaugurated its online store in Vietnam, giving local consumers to directly buy any Apple product for the first time.

It is expected that the firm will announce plans to deploy Apple Stores in Vietnam, as well as to provide better after-sales services and technical support for Vietnamese customers during Tim Cook’s visit this time.

Apple has announced plans to increase investment worth nearly VND400 trillion in Vietnam since 2019. The investment not only promotes the local supply chain but also supports clean energy projects and provide clean water to schools nationwide.

During his meeting with the then President Vo Van Thuong in San Francisco, USA, last November for the APEC Leaders’ Week, Cook said Vietnam is part of Apple's special business strategy as several products of the firm have been produced in the Southeast Asian nation, including Macbook, Ipad, Apple Watch.

He held that Vietnam’s digital economy is thriving, and many leading global electronics and technology companies, including those from the US, are increasingly investing in production and business in the country.

The CEO also noted that Vietnam also possesses high-skilled engineers and technology professionals.
